Mother-in-law coming for dinner? Don’t worry. Nellie’s Dish Powder easily penetrates grease, food particles & more, leaving every plate spotless! So spotless, that she might even stay for dinner! Sorry about that.

Our Dish Powder is biodegradable, septic safe, and phosphate-free. Above all, this powder is a plant-based formula and kind to the environment. So, the only gross stuff going down the drain will come from your plates! What’s not to love about doing dishes!

WHY POWDER? Liquid detergents are made up largely of water. At Nellie’s we don’t think selling and moving water around the planet is a very good idea. The fact is, more cleaning power can be packed into a smaller space using powder. Learn more!

Use the hottest water available (60°C-70°C/140°F-150°F). Fill detergent cups as recommended by machine manufacturer. If machine has no cup dispenser, place 1 tablespoon in bottom of dishwasher for average load of dishes. More powder may be required in hard water areas; soft water may require less.

I am very happy with how well the Dishwasher Powder works! The dishes come out clean with no residue and there is no “chemically” smell when opening the dishwasher door. I did find that I need to use the ProCycle option versus the Quick/PowerSave mode that I was using before, on our Kitchen Aid model of dishwasher.

Best dishwasher powder ever! I’ve tried countless brands of dishwasher powder, and they all let me down. There were issues with each powder, some wouldn’t get the dishes clean, or the powder was to strong and etched the glasses, or wouldn’t dissolve completely and would slowly gunk up the dishwasher. But my one major complaint was the hideous “fresh” odor they left on the dishes, especially noticeable on cups and glasses.

Nellies gets my dishes spotless clean, without any cloying unpleasant odor, and after 3 cans of use there is still zero build up of undissolved powder.

A tablespoon works great in our dishwasher. The powder all dissolves. Cleans dried on food off plates and old stains in my dishwasher have disappeared too.

Great product, washes well. I used to use cascade platinum pods. When I used the cascade pods they left a very strong smell in any plasticware. I did not like that and then to top it all, your food would taste like chemical soap. ugh…gross…led me to look up the cascade platinum pods and the ingredients….so many ingredients…. not good. Made me rethink many things. This all cant be good in anway. I tried Nellie’s dishwashing powder and I was hooked. I am passionate about the earth and taking care of it. Everything little change and education matters. I would recommend this product. Just to give a clear idea about it all is that… I have well water that is hard water even still Ii fill the 2 compartments in my dishwasher and it works like a charm. I reached out and purchased more products by Nellies and have been nothing but soooo pleased. They have it all right in sooo many ways. I can only hope people will reach out and try theses products.

I love Nellie’s laundry powder, so I decided to try this. It didn’t work for me. It left a streaky residue on the plates and left the glasses cloudy.

I would like to amend my previous review. I found that you really have to follow the instructions on the package and use the hottest water setting. At first, I was using the normal wash cycle, and it left streaks. But when I used the high-temp setting, everything comes out perfectly clean.
